Did you know that you could explore career possibilities while you're still in high school? At Central County Occupational Center (CCOC), you'll find a wide variety of classes offering career technical-education.

If you are a junior or senior, you can attend CCOC for half a day and your home high school the other half of the day. High school students are bused from their home schools daily for three hours of career-technical instruction, either morning or afternoon. Students attend their home school the other half of the day, taking core academic classes. Your high school in partnership with CCOC can offer you these exciting options for your career development!

CCOC has the most technically advanced training facility in the Silicon Valley. Training is directly related to specific job requirements. Students can examine "career pathways" to determine what careers are in their field of study and which colleges to attend. Students work on real projects just like those in business, using the same equipment and in a similar environment. Classes are offered in the following fields: Business, Construction, Cosmetology, Electronic Technology, Health, Hospitality, Law Enforcement, Mechanics & Maintenance, and Communication Arts. Students can receive high school elective credits, academic credits, and even community college credits at CCOC. CCOC has articulation agreements in effect with Evergreen Valley College, San Jose City College, West Valley College, Mission College, De Anza College, and Foothill College. Most classes offer 3-12 college credits if the student completes the course with a "B" or better.
