Welcome to Gunderson High School! The staff and faculty are excited to work with each new family in the upcoming 2022-2023 school year.

The Incoming Freshman tab has helpful resources about our course offerings, course descriptions, course sequence flowcharts, and the incoming 9th-grade course selection Google form.  These resources will inform and support your course selection decisions.

Please complete the Incoming 9th Grade Course Selection Form by Friday, April 8th.

Course Selection Requests for 2022-2023 School Year

1. Review the Course Selection Process presentation
2. Visit our Gunderson Scheduling Website to get all information, documents, schedule, etc. about selecting courses for the 22-23 school year
3. Complete your Course Request Form and bring it to your 1:1 Course Selection Meeting (for current Gunderson students)

Gunderson Plus

A small school within a school, Gunderson Plus is an alternative education program and part of SJUSD’s Learning Options. The primary goal of Learning Options is to help students recover credits, explore career options, and make the right decisions that will lead to graduation and a brighter future beyond.

Silicon Valley Career Technical Education

Silicon Valley Career Technical Education (SVCTE) offers state-of-the art programs taught by industry professionals who engage students in rigorous, real-world academics and skills development designed to support their success through college and in their future careers.

SVCTE offers courses within 12 industry sectors, where 11th and 12th graders can explore and develop technical skills that will lead them to higher education or into the workplace. At least a dozen courses meet UC “A-G” requirements.
